The app and its price
Blubb is a free app for importing, reading, listening to, annotating, and, where supported, exporting your own reading material. Its core features have no subscription, trial limit, or in-app purchase. Apple’s standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies to the copy you obtain through the App Store. These terms explain Blubb-specific features and responsibilities; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Content you import
You are responsible for having the right to import, copy, convert, narrate, and share each document you use. Blubb does not grant rights to material you import, including research papers, books, images, and linked content. The bundled Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is the Standard Ebooks CC0 edition; its attribution is shown in the app. Content hosted by arXiv or other linked sites remains subject to its own terms and rights.
How the app works
Blubb processes files and generates speech on your device. Extraction, OCR, layout, equations, links, citations, and narration can be incomplete or inaccurate, especially for complex papers. Check the original document before relying on a quotation, equation, figure, or generated audio. Formatted public-paper editions require an available arXiv HTML version and a network connection the first time they are saved. Blubb is not an archival backup service; keep your original documents and important notes separately. iCloud library sync is under development and unavailable in this version.
Sharing and acceptable use
Exports and shares are initiated by you. You decide where a copy goes and are responsible for respecting copyright, privacy, and other applicable rights. Do not use Blubb to violate the law or the rights of others. We may update or discontinue features, but we will describe material changes in release information or on this page.
Availability and responsibility
Blubb is provided with reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee that every file, device, voice, public website, or conversion will work without interruption or error. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on an inaccurate conversion or by failing to keep your own backups. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
